Theodor Vendrig is Managing Partner of McKinsey’s Norway office and leads the firm’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) work in the Nordics.
He advises companies and private equity investors on strategy, AI, M&A, and commercial growth. Much of his work focuses on how organizations turn technology and AI into tangible business value - linking strategy, organization, and execution to deliver measurable results.
Vendrig works closely with telecommunications, software, media, and technology companies across Europe and beyond, helping them navigate technological shifts and capture new growth opportunities.
His recent work includes leading commercial transformations, supporting growth strategies and M&A programs, and helping companies scale new technology and AI capabilities across their organizations. Recent examples of his client work include the following:
- leading a full potential plan for a global software scale-up followed by execution of prioritized value creation levers
- supporting a global telco in a large-scale digital transformation effort, including capturing wave one and two of impact across several of its operating countries and shifting to an agile operating model
- supporting a global telco in establishing a new growth strategy and conducting the first acquisition in new verticals to accelerate the strategy
- building a new digital platform for a global consumer industry leader via our digital business build offering, Leap by McKinsey
- establishing an analytics platform for a leading media company to improve churn and retention practices
- conducting commercial due diligence for private-equity companies across the technology, media, telecommunications, and consumer spaces
- establishing and initiating a value-creation plan for a private-equity-owned portfolio company within the consumer technology and media industry
