Leads McKinsey’s global procurement rewiring effort, helping CPOs reimagine supply chain and procurement functions for the AI era. Roman shapes next-generation operating models that combine a modern data spine with agentic AI to deliver faster impact, stronger resilience, and better stakeholder experiences—at scale. He also serves as the North America leader for McKinsey’s Global Energy & Materials Practice, advising utilities, chemicals, mining, and heavy industrial clients on end-to-end supply chain and procurement transformations.

Roman’s work sits at the intersection of technology and geopolitics. He counsels executives on inflation, tariffs, trade policy, and supplier risk—and how to turn these pressures into advantage through dynamic category strategies, market-aware sourcing, and AI-enabled negotiations. He has authored McKinsey insights on tariffs, inflation, and procurement leadership in a changing macroeconomic environment.

Roman brings extensive experience leading performance, operating model, and capability transformations, helping clients achieve a step change in procurement ROI as well as multiple Fortune 500 clients embed agentic AI across sourcing, negotiation, and value-preservation domains—accelerating cycle times, improving compliance, and freeing teams to focus on strategy.
