Rebecca is a Senior Fellow at the McKinsey Global Institute (MGI), McKinsey’s business and economics research arm.

Rebecca leads research on global and US economic growth and productivity; financial stability; economic empowerment and inclusive growth; and economic security. Her publications have been featured in leading global media and presented at top-level CEO and policymaker convenings. She regularly shares MGI insights with leaders across government, financial services, and industry.

Prior to her current role, Rebecca was a consultant with McKinsey’s Public Sector Practice, serving US federal agencies and state governments on strategy and operations.

She is currently a Term Member with the Council on Foreign Relations, an Associate Member of the Economic Club of New York, a former Fulbright Scholar in Turkey, and was named a 2026 Aspen Strategy Group Rising Leader. She holds an MA in global affairs from Yale’s Jackson School and an MBA from Yale School of Management. She is also an avid hiker (completing Tour du Mont Blanc in 2023, Annapurna Circuit in 2024, and Kilimanjaro planned for 2026) and cyclist (completing Atlantic-to-Pacific bike ride in 2009).
