Maitham leads our People & Organizational Performance Practice in the Middle East and our leadership work in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He is also a leader in our Social Sector, Healthcare, & Public Sector Entities Practice in the region, where he helps improve health systems and transform healthcare providers to better serve communities.

He is a firm believer that talent is an organization’s number one asset and is passionate about building capabilities at scale as a driver of sustainable growth. He works closely with boards, CEOs, and CHROs on talent and organizational programs that will enable them to deliver on their strategic aspirations, typically within the context of large-scale transformations.

He has designed innovative operating models to prepare organizations for the future, launched culture transformations to shape mindsets and behaviors to enable large-scale change, and established academies that have equipped over 50,000 employees with critical skills in leadership, digital and analytics, and customer experience. Maitham also works closely with senior leadership teams to deliver leadership development programs that inspire growth, strengthen collaboration, and enhance overall individual and team effectiveness.

Maitham is inspired by the public sector’s ability to improve population well-being and drive economic growth. With a deep passion for healthcare, Maitham has helped shape national health strategies, developed business cases for large-scale health system reforms, and designed tools and interventions to ensure the financial sustainability of healthcare systems. Maitham has also partnered with healthcare providers to enhance operations, workforce productivity, and patient care and has contributed to public health initiatives.

A strong advocate for empowering the next generation, Maitham founded and leads McKinsey’s Qiyada Emerging Leaders program, which helps young professionals realize their leadership potential and make a meaningful impact in their organizations and communities.

Before joining McKinsey, Maitham held positions at Booz & Company in Dubai, Morgan Stanley in London, and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) World Bank in Washington, DC.
