Advises leading organizations on building resilience, strengthening risk management, and driving operational improvement

Ida is the managing partner of McKinsey’s Northeast Region and New York office, where she brings together diverse practices, functions, and pathways across one of the firm’s largest and most dynamic offices. She is also a senior partner in the Risk & Resilience Practice, which she previously co-led, and is a leader in the firm’s cybersecurity work.

She advises clients on a broad range of strategic, operational, and risk priorities, including enterprise risk strategy, operational risk, cybersecurity, and large-scale business transformation.

With more than 20 years of consulting experience, Ida has helped organizations design and implement enterprise risk management functions, led multiyear comprehensive capital analysis and review programs at leading US banks, and supported clients in redesigning operational risk and compliance functions to meet heightened regulatory expectations.

A native of Denmark, Ida moved to New York in 2000. She earned a PhD in political science from Columbia University before joining McKinsey.
