Henning is a partner in McKinsey’s Frankfurt office, where he works with banks and financial institutions across Europe and the Middle East. He focuses on large-scale IT and data transformations, guiding clients on technology strategy, IT architecture, and modernization programs such as core-banking-system overhauls.
In addition to his client work, Henning leads the firm's research on quantum computing, helping organizations across industries understand its potential and prepare for its impact. As a physicist with deep expertise in this advanced technology, he frequently writes and speaks on quantum computing and its industrial applications.

- developing an IT strategy for a major bank focused on digitalization and the adoption of next-generation technologies

Henning holds multiple advanced degrees, reflecting his deep analytical and cross-disciplinary expertise. He earned a doctorate in physics (Dr. rer. nat.) from Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and a master of science in physics from the University of Oregon. He also holds a Diplom-Physiker in physics, a Diplom-Kaufmann in business administration, and a Diplom-Mathematiker in mathematics from FernUniversität in Hagen. Outside of work, he enjoys weightlifting and triathlon.
