Daniel is a senior partner in McKinsey’s Washington, DC, office with nearly 20 years of experience helping clients grow revenue, design new products, improve operations performance, and lead front-line change. He works with large corporations, private equity portfolio companies, and government agencies.

As an experienced execution leader, Daniel often embeds on client teams to help them deliver on their business objectives and to support team members in their own success. Some of his recent client work includes:

  • leading a cost and customer-experience transformation for a Fortune 20 company
  • quarterbacking IPO preparation and execution for a private equity portfolio company
  • launching a new business unit for a venture-backed firm
  • conducting a sales and pricing improvement program for a professional services firm
  • building an energy and real estate analytics business for a global markets data firm

Daniel founded McKinsey’s Energy Finance and Investing group. In that role, he works with investors, lenders, operating companies, insurers, and others to invest in and help emerging energy businesses grow. Prior to that, he led our work in real estate finance, public finance, customer experience & design, digital financial services, and more.

Daniel is a regular speaker at industry events, including Aspen Security Forum, Chatham House, International Institute of Finance, Milken Institute, Salata Institute, Digital Mortgage, and Mortgage Bankers Association. Outside of McKinsey, Daniel is a founding member of the board of Foster America, a child welfare nonprofit organization.

Daniel holds an A.B. in history from Princeton University, where he was the editor in chief of The Daily Princetonian, and a J.D. with Honors from Harvard Law School.
