Christian is a partner based in McKinsey’s Abu Dhabi office, where he leads McKinsey Technology in the Middle East and coleads our value assurance work globally. He has over 20 years of experience working with senior technology leaders in multinational companies across more than 20 countries and four regions. He brings deep and global expertise in advising trading and financial-service clients on (gen) AI and technology topics, such as digital and AI transformation, AI-empowered operating model transformation, and legacy modernization.
Christian helps leading organizations digitize their services and has extensive experience in shaping and implementing large-scale technology transformations. His recent client work includes the following:
- shaping the AI strategy, including operating model, data and technology foundation, and roadmap for a leading international bank
- developing the gen-AI-enabled target architecture, transition road map based on business impact, and operating model for a leading commodity trader in the Middle East
- shaping the AI strategy, foundation, and use cases for a government in the Middle East
- introducing an AI-driven software-development life cycle operating model for a leading bank in Africa
- turning around the core banking modernization program for one of the largest East Africa banks and ensuring seamless go-live without negative customer impact
Before joining McKinsey, Christian advised clients on technology transformations. He holds an MBA from IESE Business School in Barcelona and a diploma in business informatics from the University of Regensburg in Germany.
