Intern (m/f/d) - Consumer Operations Benchmarking Initiative

What you'll do

In this role, together with the team, you will help leading companies in consumer-packaged goods and retail sector identify improvement opportunities in supply chain and manufacturing operations. As a part of continuous improvement of its service, our team uses a broad variety of tools for data analysis and visualization – from Excel, Alteryx and Tableau to our own web-based online application. 

You will leverage an understanding of business trends, issues, and concepts in combination with your analytical abilities to analyze key drivers of operational and financial performance of our clients.

The team may benefit from your knowledge of business intelligence tools and/or programming languages to improve tools and methodologies for data analysis. 

Day-to-day tasks may include a variety of analyses, such as benchmarking, trend identification, or industry profiling. Typical end products of your work will be PowerPoint documents, benchmarking reports, written memos, and models in Excel.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in economics, business, econometrics, or a related field

  • Outstanding academic record and, ideally, demonstrated extracurricular activities

  • Good understanding of economic, financial, and general business concepts and terminology

  • Solid Excel skills, knowledge of VBA and/or programming language is a plus

  • Familiarity with core statistical concepts (e.g., correlation, regression)

  • Professional attitude and service orientation

  • Ability to work well in a team setting and to respond to feedback

  • Skills to communicate results of data analysis effectively in English; German language skills are beneficial but are not required for the role

Please note that this internship is intended for a duration of one year – ideally, between bachelor's and master's studies (gap year).
