To support the continued growth of our legal department and with an interest in public sector work, we are now seeking for our Düsseldorf location a
Contract Manager (m/f)
You will draft, review, and negotiate government and commercial contracts including confidentiality agreements, consulting agreements, framework agreements, subcontracts, and consortium agreements as well as support McKinsey’s consultants in their daily operations. This includes reviewing and assisting with requests for public sector tender documents/tender proposals; working on internal compliance and risk management issues in Germany and across Western Europe under the supervision and guidance of the department’s lawyers is also part of your daily business.
Furthermore you will assist on issues raised by working with the public sector such as public procurement rules, freedom of information act laws, gifts and hospitality rules.
- You are a German legal professional (state examinations or Wirtschaftsjurist) with at least two years’ professional experience acquired as a junior lawyer, contract manager, or similar position at a leading company. Professional legal qualification as well as experience of public sector legal issues and government contracts is considered a plus.
- You possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to work together with internal and external stakeholders at different levels.
- You enjoy working in a challenging and fast-paced environment and are a team player with the desire to influence others positively.
- You are fluent in both German and English with the ability to draft and negotiate contracts in both these languages.
